Chicken Curry is a flavorful and aromatic dish that originates from Indian cuisine but has become popular and adapted in various culinary traditions around the world, including Filipino cuisine.
Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken, cut into small potion
- 2 tbsp. Oil
- 2 gloves garlic, minced
- 2 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 inches ginger, cut into strip
- 2 medium tomatoes , chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. TURMERIC powder
- 2 tsp. Chilli powder
- 4 tsp. CORIANDER powder
- 3 tsp. GARAM MASALA powder
- 1/2 tsp. BLACK PEPPER powder
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 handful coriander leaves, chopped (optional )
Directions
- Sauté garlic , onion and ginger in hot oil
- Add TURMERIC powder, Chilli powder, CORIANDER powder, GARAM MASALA powder, BLACK PEPPER powder.
- Cook until the color change approx. 1-2 minutes
- Add 2 medium chopped Tomatoes. Cook until become paste.
- Add chicken. Mix well until all cut chicken are coated.
- Add cups water and 1/2 tsp. Salt.
- Bring to boil and simmer until chicken is tender and oil starting to come out from the chicken.
- Then sprinkle with handful coriander leaves
- Serve with chapatti or rice
